Samuel B. N Babajuah is a Liberian and a devoted Christian. He is the 5th son of eight (8) children. Samuel was born August 6, 1990 during the heat of the Liberian Civil war. His both parents are subsistence farmers. He is a survivor of the Liberia civil war that took the lives of his loved ones, and 250,000+ Liberians. Samuel was born in Kpayah Town, Belequelleh Clan, Jorquelleh District, Bong County, Liberia.
He is legally married to Mrs. Alicia Moore-Babajuah for 7years now with three (3) kids, G. Samuela Spryte Babajuah (girl – 7years), and McSamuel Babajuah (boy – 4years). Almuel Babajuah (11Months).
His father, Mr. Samuel Babajuah, Sr. is a Deacon of the Redeem Baptist Church in Kpayaiah Town and mother, Mrs. Hannah Larblah Babajuah a Deaconess. Samuel is a member of the Matadi Baptist Church in New Matadi, opposite the Don Bosco Youth Center in Monrovia. Samuel worked with the Government of Liberia (GoL) for 7years as a Call Agent, a Call Center Statistician, Coordinator and Supervisor under the Incident Management System (IMS) and finally left government few days after his appointment by the then Director General of the National Public Health Institute of Liberia (NPHIL), Dr. Mosoka Papa Fallah as the strategic advisor to the office of the Director General.
He is the founder and Executive Director (ED) of the High Self-Esteem Young Liberians initiative, Inc, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO)/President of the Royal Excellence Group of Companies and Chair on Academics of the Ed Mol Memorial Matadi Baptist High School Board. Samuel is currently the Deputy Executive Director for Research and Grants of the Community Based Initiative – Liberia. He worked on the Enhanced Polio Surveillance through Community Engagement as its Technical Lead providing technical support to the project through its Project Manager and Executive Director of CBI – Liberia, Mr. Kemoh S. Sheriff; a Bill & Melinda Gates funded project.
In 2013, Samuel met with Spryte Loriano during her many global tours and since that encounter, he has worked to alleviate poverty and human suffering in his community and Country, Liberia. In September of 2015, he established the High Self-Esteem Young Liberians Initiative, Inc with a mission to create alternative livelihoods for people living in Liberia. He started undisturbed school at age 16 on the ALP Program - the Accelerated Learning Program which afforded him the opportunity to reach this far in the journey of academia. After that, Samuel attended various primary and secondary institutions in Liberia including the Kpayah Public School in Kpayah, the Assembly of God Mission School in Gbarnga, the Christian Institute of Modern Education, the A. Glenn Tubman Elementary and Junior High School, and the Ed Mol Memorial Matadi Baptist High School all of Monrovia.
Working in government, Samuel saw grave corruption, marginalization of co-workers, and swiftly developed a passion for advocacy and activism as he begun to fight for the rights of his colleagues and others as is enshrined in the Liberian Decent Work Act of 2015 and Article 8 of the 1986 Liberian Constitution.
After he enrolled at the University of Liberia in 2012, Samuel became an elementary school teacher which landed him into a teacher training program organized by Spryte Loriano before the Ebola Outbreak in 2014. Since, Samuel has been teaching at junior and senior secondary levels across so many schools in Monrovia including the Love International School System (LISS)/the Wetas Academy in Matadi.
While working with GoL, he advocated for over 65+ employees that were wrongly redundant without their just benefits. Samuel advocacy brought him on table with foreign dignitaries and seniors officials of government. In recognition of Samuel’s hard works during the Ebola Epidemic, he was given several certificates of honor and recognition by the Community Based Initiative for Disease Surveillance and Sustainable Development, the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) and the eHealth – Africa. Samuel received his bachelors of Public Administration from the University of Liberia (UL).
